Single Leaf With Curved Veins and Long Stem

Coloring guide
One large leaf fills the page, drawn in clean black outlines with a pointed tip at the top and a slightly wavy edge along the lower left side. A thick central vein runs from the stem up through the middle, leaning a little to the right. Thin side veins branch off both sides and curve upward toward the edges, with about eight on each side. The short stem at the bottom has a rounded end. Because the shapes between the veins are big and open, this is easy for younger kids to color, and it still gives older kids room to shade. Try coloring each section between the veins in a slightly different shade of green, or switch to autumn reds and oranges to talk about why leaves change color. It also works well as a printable for a quick leaf-parts lesson on veins, stem, and tip.
