Little Christmas Angel Strumming a Harp on a Cloud
Coloring guide
A smiling little angel with wavy, shoulder-length hair sits on a puffy cloud and holds a small lyre-style harp in both hands. Her long, flowing robe has wide bell sleeves and a rounded neckline, and a simple halo floats over her head. Big feathered wings spread out on both sides, with lots of layered feathers to fill in. Outlined stars and snowflakes of different sizes dot the background, which gives the page a calm, wintry Christmas feel. Younger kids can handle the big shapes in the robe and cloud, while the feathers, hair waves and harp strings give older kids more to enjoy. Soft golden yellow for the halo and harp, pale blue snowflakes and a light pink or lavender robe would be pretty. Pick up this free printable PDF for a screen-free activity at home. - pale sky blue
- soft yellow
- peach skin
- golden yellow
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the large cloud and both wings with pale sky blue, leaving the outlines crisp and the gaps between feathers light.
- 2Fill the hair, including the top, the curls on both sides and the strands near the face, with soft yellow.
- 3Color the face, neck, hands, ears and the lower sleeves with peach skin, and leave the eye whites and the small smile area bright white.
- 4Use golden yellow for the halo rim, the harp, the stars, the gown hem trim and the cloud's bottom edge.
- 5Leave the long gown, the sleeves and the lap white so they look soft and fresh against the blue cloud.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of pale sky blue on the cloud's shadow side and a touch of soft yellow on the hair edges for depth.
