Little Gingerbread House on a Plate with Star Cookies
Coloring guide
A little gingerbread house rests on a round plate. Wavy icing drips along the roof edges, a round gumdrop sits on the peak, and the chimney has its own icing cap. A swirly peppermint candy decorates the front gable. Two square windows with crossed panes, a smaller arched side window and an arched door with a round knob give you plenty of tidy spaces to fill. Round candy buttons run down the front wall and across the roof. On the plate in front are three star-shaped cookies with icing borders, and two striped candy canes lean on the right side. Try red and white stripes for the candy canes and the peppermint, and warm brown on the walls so the icing stands out. It's a free printable that suits holiday afternoons at home or in the classroom. - 3Paint the front door and the round door knob area with bright red and the door arch frame and window frames with leaf green, filling the window panes with golden yellow.

- 5Color the candy cane hook light gray and its lower stripes coral red, leaving the white stripes and the peppermint swirl white. Optional: add a little shading along the house walls with a slightly darker brown.
