Right in the middle of the page sits a smiling cloud with big sparkling eyes, rosy brows and a wide, cheerful mouth. A striped rainbow curves out from behind its upper right side. Under the cloud, five large teardrop raindrops fall toward a small tuft of grass at the bottom. Bold outlines and big, simple shapes mean little hands can stay inside the lines without getting frustrated. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big fluffy cloud with pale sky blue, leaving the two eye whites untouched.
- 2Color the grass at the bottom with leafy green.
- 3Color the rainbow arcs: golden yellow for the outer arc, leafy green for the next arc, then bright blue for the two inner arcs.
- 4Fill all six raindrops with bright blue, leaving a little white space near the top of each for a natural shine.
- 5Color the open smile with rose red and the tongue inside it with soft pink.
- 6Optional: add a few light diagonal strokes on the cloud and drops to give a pencil-like texture, and draw black pupils in the eyes.
