Rainy Day Squirtle Pal With Umbrella and Raincoat
Coloring guide
Standing in a puddle while raindrops come down all around, this cheerful little turtle-like creature holds a big umbrella in one hand. Its hooded raincoat has a pointed tip on the hood, four round buttons, and two patch pockets, and a spiral shell peeks out from behind. The big shiny eyes and open smile make it easy to color, and the three-toed feet are planted in rippling water on tiled pavement. The umbrella panels have small round tips and are big enough for little hands to fill in. A bright yellow raincoat with a sky-blue umbrella would look good, and the puddle and raindrops can use a few shades of blue. Print this free page for a quiet creative moment. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big yellow raincoat, hood, and pocket areas with lemon yellow, leaving the small gaps near the buttons for later.
- 2Fill the turtle's head, arms, hands, and legs with lime green, keeping the eye whites white.
- 3Color the umbrella panels with bright blue for the lower ones and light sky blue for the upper ones, leaving the thin underside strips white.
- 4Add the brown shell on the back with chocolate brown and the spiral with sand beige, then color the tan top edge of the shell.
- 5Add tangerine orange to the pockets and buttons, mustard gold to the lower buttons, and soft pink to the tongue.
- 6Finish with the charcoal gray umbrella handle, pale cream feet, light sky blue raindrops, and the puddle and sidewalk tiles in silver gray. Optional: add a little darker shading on the raincoat folds to make it pop.
