Splashing Baby Turtle Coloring Page for Squirtle Fans
Coloring guide
A happy little turtle jumps up out of the water with its mouth open in a big smile, which makes this page extra fun to color. It has large sparkly eyes, a small tuft on top of its head, striped flippers, and a round shell covered in swirl patterns. Underneath, a splash bursts out of a rippling pool, and droplets fly through the air on both sides. Three puffy clouds drift across the sky. The shell swirls are good practice for small, careful strokes, while the splash and clouds are roomy enough for younger kids. Bright green looks nice for the skin, orange and yellow for the spiral shell, and light blue for the water. Print the free PDF for a quick break in the day. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by filling the big splash and puddle at the bottom with sky blue, leaving the inner ripple lines as they are.
- 2Color the turtle head, both flippers, and the two little tufts on top with leaf green.
- 3Fill the shell with amber orange on the outer swirls, use golden yellow for the center swirl, and add chocolate brown to the darker patches on the top and right side of the shell.
- 4Color the belly band and the lower belly with soft yellow, and make the open mouth tongue coral pink.
- 5Fill the clouds with pale blue and color the scattered water drops with sky blue. Leave the eye shines and teeth white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of leaf green along the flippers and a little extra brown on the shell edges for depth.
