Witch Combing Her Broom on a Tree Stump
Coloring guide
Perched on a tree stump, a smiling young witch in a big buckled pointed hat is busy tidying her straw broom with a tiny comb. One hand keeps the long handle upright. She's dressed in a cape with a round button, a flared skirt and chunky boots. At the bottom of the stump sits a happy puppy with a collar, gazing up at her, and a few daisy-style flowers and grass tufts grow on either side. Small hands will like the big shapes of the hat, skirt and stump, and older kids can take their time with the broom bristles and flower petals. Deep purple suits the hat and skirt, golden yellow works for the bristles, and soft brown is nice for the puppy. The PDF is free to print at home, whatever age you are. This fits right in with our Witch coloring pages — see also Fairy and Elf.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big purple areas: color the witch's hat, dress, cape and boots with royal purple, leaving the hat brim and cape details for the next step.
- 2Fill the hat brim and the hat's cone with dark violet, and color the hat band and the buckle band with orchid pink, with the buckle in plum.
- 3Color the girl's face, hands and legs peach skin, and her hair tangerine orange, then add soft cream to the puppy's body and tail.
- 4Use chestnut brown for the tree stump, the broom handle and the broom wraps, and pale sand for the top of the stump.
- 5Fill the broom bristles, the comb and the round brooch with golden yellow, and color the grass leaf green.
- 6Optional: Leave the flower petals, eye whites and highlights white, and add darker shading on the purple folds for depth.
