Horse Mother Nuzzling Her Foal in a Flower Meadow

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the sky clouds in sky blue, leaving the sky itself white.
2. 2Color the mother horse and the foal's bodies in caramel brown, keeping the white muzzle highlight and the eye whites untouched.
3. 3Fill the long manes, forelocks and tails in pale yellow, then add a little mustard yellow to the tail tuft for extra warmth.
4. 4Color the bushes in the background with grass green, and the meadow grass in the middle and corners with leaf green.
5. 5Use charcoal gray on all the hooves, and dusty rose plus light pink for the inner ears.
6. 6Optional: Add a touch of warm gold on the mother's legs and a darker shade of caramel brown along the belly for depth.
