Meadow Giraffe Wearing a Daisy Crown with Butterflies

In a grassy meadow, a smiling baby giraffe wears a crown of big daisy-style flowers and leaves set between its two little horns. Its head tilts to one side, and it has big sparkly eyes, long lashes and a happy open mouth. Large rounded spots cover its long neck and body, and a tufted tail curls out behind. Two butterflies flutter close by, each trailing a dashed line to show where it flew. Up front there are three flowers of different sizes, plus grass tufts and a gently rolling hill. Big spots and simple petals are easy for small hands, so this free printable works for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Soft pink and purple for the crown, with golden yellow and orange-brown spots on the giraffe, would look lovely. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the giraffe's head, ears, neck, body and legs with golden yellow, leaving the two eye whites bright white.
- 2Color the round spots on the neck, body and legs with burnt orange, skipping the muzzle and the grass between the legs.
- 3Fill the muzzle with cream and the horns and hooves with chocolate brown, then color the tip of the tail in the same brown.
- 4Color the flower crown: the petals in bubblegum pink, lavender purple and sky blue, with golden yellow centers.
- 5Add the leaves in leaf green and mint green, then color the butterflies and the grass, flowers and stems in the same friendly colors.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the spots and under the ears for depth, and keep the dashed butterfly paths white.
