Mermaid Hugging Her Knees in a Clawfoot Bathtub

A young mermaid with long wavy hair sits in a big clawfoot bathtub, hugging her knees with one arm crossed over the other. She has large sparkly eyes, a small smile, and her head tilted a little to one side. Her long hair spills over the front edge of the tub. Her scaly tail curls over the opposite rim, ending in a wide, flowing fin that drapes down the side. The tub stands on curvy, heart-shaped feet. Leafy seaweed stems rise on both the left and right sides. The large, plain front of the tub is wide open, so kids can add polka dots, stripes, or a bubble pattern. Try a soft aqua for the tub, then use two or three shades of green and purple to give the tail scales a gradient. This free printable also works well for a quiet afternoon at home or a classroom craft table.
