Mermaid World Merman King With a Trident on His Throne
Coloring guide
Seated on a big scallop shell throne, a smiling, bearded merman king holds a tall three-pronged trident in one hand and rests his other arm on the armrest. He has long wavy hair and a pointed crown. A long scaly fish tail curls forward from below his bare chest and ends in a ribbed fin at the bottom. Curly scrolls decorate the sides of the throne, and branching coral stands on both sides with a few small rocks on the seabed. Scales, shell ridges and coral add plenty of little areas, which makes this a good fit for steady crayon or colored pencil work. Shimmering teal or purple could cover the tail, with bright gold on the crown and trident. Kids who love sea kings and underwater adventures should enjoy this free printable. - 2Color the big throne shells with lavender purple and light lavender, and the seat and base with medium purple and deep purple.
- 3Fill the mermaid tail scales with teal green, sea green and light green, alternating shades so they look like a pattern.
- 4Color the tail fins with teal green, the trident and crown with golden yellow, and the sea rocks with cool gray.
- 5Finish the corals with coral pink and the green seaweed with leaf green and moss green.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading along the tail scales and throne edges to make the colors pop.
