Modern House With Two Stories, Balcony and Flower Beds
Coloring guide
The star here is a sleek two-story house with a flat roof. Upstairs there's a glass-railed balcony with a potted leafy plant in the corner. Downstairs, a large window shows a cozy living room with a sofa and a standing lamp, and a tall front door with a long handle sits next to a small wall light. A stepping-stone path runs from the bottom of the page up to a little set of entry steps. Round bushes, a small leafy tree, and flower beds with daisy-style blooms frame the yard. In the background you'll find tufts of grass, two bare trees, and puffy clouds. A bright teal front door would look great, and so would several shades of green on the bushes. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: color the house walls and the balcony base in pale cream and light tan, leaving the window glass and the white lamp shade untouched.
- 2Color the roof top and roof edge in slate gray, then fill the path stones and the entrance steps with light gray.
- 3Fill the sky-like cloud shapes and the window panes with light blue and pale blue, then add the balcony glass and railings.
- 4Paint the front door and its panels with chestnut brown, and the sofa with golden yellow inside the lower window.
- 5Color the lawn in lime green, the bushes and trees in leafy green, dark green and forest green, and add the coral orange flower pot last. Optional: Add a little darker shading along the edges of the bushes for depth.
