Moving Day at the New House With a Puppy
Coloring guide
A smiling family of four unloads a moving truck in front of a two-story house, with a happy puppy trotting beside them. Dad carries a large cardboard box, Mom holds a leafy potted plant, and the boy and the girl with a ponytail each have a smaller box. The back of the truck is open and stacked with more boxes. Behind them are a shingled roof, an upstairs dormer window, shutters, a covered front porch with a lantern by the door, and bushes and trees at the sides. In the foreground, a mailbox stands beside a grassy yard with a path. It's a free printable that suits kids who are moving, or just curious about it. Warm tan and brown work for the boxes, bright green for the plant, and a bold blue or red for the shutters and front door. This fits right in with our House coloring pages — see also Cookie and Hamburger.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: color the house siding and the attic walls in sky blue, leaving the roof peak and roof edge white.
- 2Fill the grass, bushes and trees with bright grass green, then color the sidewalk and steps in pale warm gray.
- 3Color the front door and the boy's top in cherry red, and paint the shirts with leaf green for the man and soft lavender for the woman.
- 4Add the boxes in golden tan, the puppy in golden tan too, and the mailbox in light gray. Keep the porch column and railing white.
- 5Use denim blue for the jeans and the window shutters, pale blue for the window glass, and violet purple for the girl's pants.
- 6Optional: Add a little medium gray to the truck interior and roof shingles for shading, and use chestnut brown for the boy's hair to finish.
