Moon Basketball Astronaut Slam Dunk
Coloring guide
A smiling cartoon astronaut leaps through space with one arm stretched high, about to slam a striped basketball through a net set up on a cratered moon. The spacesuit comes with a round helmet with ear pieces, a chest control panel, a belt, padded knees and big boots, so there are lots of sections to color. Around the player float a ringed planet, Earth with its continents, a banded planet, a small dotted planet, some drifting asteroids, a shooting star and a rocket blasting past. Little stars dot the sky, with wavy clouds and rocky hills along the bottom. Kids who love both sports and space will like this free printable. Bright orange suits the basketball and a shiny silver-blue the suit, and deep purple is a great pick for the starry background. This fits right in with our Basketball coloring pages — see also MLB / Baseball and NFL / Football.

- 3Paint the basketball orange, the rocket body pale silver with a red flame, and the hoop rim red while leaving the net white.
- 4Color the astronaut's face peach and the hair brown, then fill the helmet visor, suit and gloves with white, adding cool gray to the boots, backpack and wrist details.
- 5Fill the clouds and bottom ground with bright yellow, the purple striped rock with orchid purple, and the small asteroids and gray moon with cool gray.
- 6Optional: add light cool gray shadows along the bottom edges of the white suit and the moon craters to make the drawing look more rounded.
