Mama Tiger Snuggling Her Sleeping Cub
Coloring guide
A big mother tiger lies on the ground with her cheek gently tucked against the head of a small cub curled up in front of her. The cub looks up with big round eyes and a tiny smile, paws folded over each other, while the mother's large front paws and striped, curling tail wrap around the pair. A few leafy bushes sit behind them, along with a simple sun with rays in the upper corner and tufts of grass across the ground. Bold outlines and roomy shapes make this a friendly free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids, and the stripes give older children some practice. Orange for both tigers, soft yellow for the sun and fresh greens for the bushes and grass would suit it nicely. Browse more Tiger coloring pages, or explore Wolves and Lion for even more fun.

- leafy green
- pale cream
- bright yellow
- rose pink
- chocolate brown

- amber yellow
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by coloring the big tiger bodies, heads, and tails with tiger orange, leaving the white stripes and the white eye shines unpainted.
- 2Fill the two bushes, the grass tufts, and the small leaves with leafy green, keeping the white leaf shapes clean.
- 3Color the sun with bright yellow, then use pale cream for the cub's paws, muzzle, and ear, plus the mama tiger's muzzle and chin.
- 4Add rose pink inside the ears and coral pink on the mama tiger's nose to bring out the cute details.
- 5Use chocolate brown for the dark stripes on the tail, the back legs, and the side of the mama tiger's body.
- 6Optional: add a little amber yellow in the shadowed areas of the orange fur to give the tigers a softer, more layered look.
