Two Tiger Cubs Playfighting in the Grass

Coloring guide
One tiger cub stands over its sibling, big paws pressed down and mouth open in a grin. The other lies on its back with paws in the air, looking up happily. Both have curly striped tails, round ears, whiskers and bold stripes that are fun to color. A small smiling butterfly flutters at the top right, and a dotted line traces where it flew. Little grass tufts sit around the bottom edge. Wide stripes and large shapes suit small hands, while the paws and tails give older kids more to work on. Fur in warm orange with soft cream muzzles and bellies is a nice choice, and a bright purple or blue butterfly will stand out. Download and print this free page for a screen-free activity at home. - tangerine orange
- pale cream
- charcoal gray
- soft pink
- golden yellow
- rose pink
- lavender purple
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the bodies, heads, legs and tails of both tiger cubs with tangerine orange, leaving the white eye shines and the bright highlight streaks along the backs untouched.
- 2Color the cream bellies, the lower parts of the faces and the raised back leg with pale cream.
- 3Add soft pink to the inner ears and rose pink to the small nose and open mouth of the cubs.
- 4Color the tips of both tails charcoal gray, then fill the butterfly's wings with golden yellow and its body spot with lavender purple.
- 5Optional: Add a slightly darker orange along the stripes and under the bellies to give the cubs a bit more depth.
