Mulan Leaping Midair With Sword Raised High

Mulan is caught in a mid-air leap, one arm raised high over her head holding a sword with the blade angled down behind her. Her other arm stretches out in front with the palm open and flat, like a martial arts move. She has short dark hair that swings around her face, and she is smiling with a confident look. She wears a wrap-style tunic with a sash at the waist, banded cuffs on her sleeves, loose trousers tucked into tall boots, and flat dark shoes. Her legs are bent and trailing behind her, which gives the page a lot of movement. The big open shapes in the tunic and trousers are easy for younger kids to fill in, while the sword hilt and cuff stripes give older kids some detail work. Try soft greens or blues for the outfit, black for the hair and shoes, and a silvery gray pencil for the blade. This printable page also works well for talking about courage and training.
