Mulan Standing in Water With Fish and Mushu

Mulan wades in shallow water with her pants rolled up, one bare foot lifted as she holds her leg and stares down with a surprised, open mouth. Her hair is in a high bun tied with a ribbon, and she wears a wrapped tunic with a sash. Next to her, a big fish hangs head down with its tail tied up. The small dragon Mushu dangles beside it, dripping wet and holding a thin pole. Rocks sit in the background, and ripples and water drops fill the bottom of the page. The wide shapes on Mulan's clothes are easy for younger kids to color, and the water drops give older kids small details to work on. Try soft blues and greens for the water and rocks, then give the fish bright scales and Mushu a warm red. This free printable also works well for a retelling activity, where kids explain what just happened.
