Ocean Wave Splash With Kawaii Blastoise

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

• pale aqua
• soft green
• pale yellow
• sky blue
• ocean blue
• forest green
• warm brown
• olive green
• coral pink
• medium gray
• dark brown

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the big background waves and splashes in ocean blue and pale aqua, leaving the thin white water lines untouched.
2. 2Color the clouds in sky blue, then fill the turtle's head and flippers in soft green.
3. 3Add the shell and neck in forest green and olive green, with warm brown along the shell edges and dark brown in the shadowed patches.
4. 4Fill the cannons in sky blue and medium gray, then color the belly and claws in pale yellow.
5. 5Color the cheeks and open mouth in coral pink, and add sky blue to the smaller splashes and waves.
6. 6Optional: Leave the eye whites and small shine spots white so the eyes look bright and lively.
