Fourteen Zentangle Hearts in Staggered Rows

Coloring guide
Fourteen large hearts are arranged in four staggered rows, with small plain hearts tucked into the gaps between them. Each big heart is filled with its own pattern. You can spot stripes, triangles, and zigzags in the top row, then scalloped bands, rings, and circles in the middle. Lower down there are radiating lines, a small triangle, curvy swirls, and spirals. A few hearts have bold wavy shapes or rounded stacked sections. The lines are thick and clean, so the spaces are easy to fill with crayons, markers, or colored pencils. Try giving every large heart its own color family, such as cool blues in one and warm oranges in another, and leave the little hearts for a bright accent color. It also works well as a pattern lesson, since kids can name the shapes they find in each heart before they start. Print as many copies as you need for a classroom or a quiet afternoon at home.
