Peekaboo Bear Cub Behind a Tree Trunk

Coloring guide
Peeking out from behind a big tree trunk, this fluffy little cub grips the bark with one paw and wears a cheerful smile. Round ears, shiny eyes, a tiny tuft of hair on top and a heart-shaped nose give it a sweet, playful look. Four leaves drift through the air on the left side of the page, and the tall trunk on the right has long, flowing bark lines. Big shapes and bold outlines make this free printable a good pick for preschoolers and early elementary kids still building pencil control. Warm golden-brown suits the fur, with lighter tan for the muzzle and inner ears and autumn oranges, reds and yellows for the leaves. A deep brown trunk with a few darker streaks would look great. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the bear's head, the ears and the lower body with warm brown, leaving the cream beige areas for later.
- 2Color the muzzle and the inner parts of both ears with cream beige, then fill the pupils with black and keep the eye whites white.
- 3Color the top left leaf and the bottom left leaf with golden yellow, leaving their vein lines white.
- 4Fill the lower left leaf with tangerine orange and the bottom leaf at the base of the tree with coral red.
- 5Keep the tree trunk, the branch at the top and the background white, so the bear really stands out.
- 6Optional: add light strokes of a slightly darker brown on the bear's head to give the fur a little texture.
