Penalty Kick Soccer Showdown

Coloring guide
Seen from behind, a young player stands over a ball on the penalty spot, getting ready to shoot. In the goal, a smiling goalkeeper crouches with wide-open gloved hands. The goal has a detailed net, and beyond it you can make out a crowd of spectators in the stands, a fence, bushes and trees, tall stadium floodlights, a few puffy clouds and a distant building. Tufts of grass dot the pitch, and the painted lines are clearly marked. Kids who love soccer and like a scene with a little suspense will enjoy this one. A bright red or blue jersey for the kicker and a contrasting yellow or green keeper kit keeps the two players distinct. It's a free download with no sign-up needed. Kids who like Soccer coloring pages usually enjoy Cheerleading and MLB / Baseball too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big grass areas, the pitch and the field edges, with grass green, and use leaf green and forest green for the trees and bushes around the stadium.
- 2Color the boy's shirt, shorts and sleeves sky blue, then fill his arms, hands and ears with skin peach.
- 3Color the boy's hair chestnut brown and the goalkeeper's hair copper orange, leaving the cloud shapes and goal frame white.
- 4Color the goalkeeper's shirt and sleeves golden yellow and his shorts charcoal gray, then add pale blue to the shadows on the goal net.
- 5Color the crowd in the stands with varied shirt colors like coral orange, lilac purple, khaki beige, dusty pink and sage green, and fill the building with cream.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the grass and the boy's shirt to give the scene more depth, and keep the ball, socks and penalty line white.
