Playful Zebra Foal and Butterflies
Coloring guide
This happy little foal kicks up its legs, with big sparkly eyes, long lashes, an open smile and a fluffy tuft of mane bouncing on its head. The bushy tail swooshes behind while three smiling butterflies flutter nearby: one upper left, one on the right and one lower left. Along the bottom, daisy-style flowers and little tufts of grass cover the ground. Outlines are bold and the shapes are roomy, which suits preschoolers and early elementary kids still building pencil control. Because this page lives in the zebra category, a black and white striped foal with a marker is an easy choice. Brown, gray or golden-tan work too, with bright pinks and purples on the butterflies. Print it at home and keep a few extra copies on hand. More like this: explore the Zebra, Chicken and Shark coloring page collections.

- 1Fill the horse's body, head, and legs with caramel tan, leaving the small gap between the legs white.
- 2Color the mane and the fluffy tail chestnut brown.
- 3Paint the inner ears rose pink and the hooves dark gray.
- 4Color the butterflies: sky blue, violet purple, and coral pink wings, then add the flowers in rose pink with golden yellow centers, and the leaves and grass in leaf green.
- 5Finish with a pale peach mouth and soft lilac accents on the small flowers, keeping the eye whites and eye shines white. Optional: add light shading on the body with a slightly darker tan.
