Puppy and Soccer Ball in the Garden

Coloring guide
A floppy-eared puppy leans forward with its tail curled high, just about to nudge a big soccer ball across the grass with its nose. It has large shiny eyes, a small smile, a dark nose and a tuft of fur on its head. A wooden picket fence stands behind it, with a flower and leaves on each side, leafy bushes and grass tufts around the ground. The ball has clear pentagon and hexagon panels that are simple to color. Bold, clean outlines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids, and this free printable is handy for a rainy afternoon or a sports-themed classroom day. Color the ball black and white or in team colors, make the puppy golden brown, and add bright petals to the flowers. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the puppy's head, body, legs and floppy ears with honey gold, leaving the two eye whites and the little highlight spots white.
- 2Fill the puppy's tail and the top points of the fence pickets with honey gold, then color the fence rails caramel brown.
- 3Color the bushes and the leaves of both flowers with leaf green, keeping the flower petals and centers white.
- 4Shade the dark patches of the soccer ball with charcoal gray and leave the rest of the ball white.
- 5Add a small lemon yellow patch under the ball near the puppy's chest.
- 6Optional: add a little darker honey gold along the puppy's belly and under the ears for a softer, shaded look.
