Plaza Dance Party with Drummers and Flags, Diversity & Inclusion
Coloring guide
A girl in a flower crown twirls in the middle of a cobblestone plaza, holding out the ruffled skirt of her tiered dress with one arm raised high. Two boys in brimmed hats play snare-style drums around her, and a man behind them strums a guitar. Dancers in ruffled dresses and performers in hats wave large flags, and strings of triangle bunting hang overhead. In the background are market stalls with striped awnings, a woman serving food, a street lamp, trees and a church bell tower. A drum, a maracas-style shaker and a guitar sit in the lower corners. With so many ruffles and patterns, this free printable has lots to fill in. Bright yellow, red and turquoise would suit the bunting and flags, and pinks and purples look good on the twirling girl's dress and flower crown. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky, trees and bunting: color the top sky and background trees in pale sky blue and lime green, leaving the bunting flags white.
- 2Fill the big red dress with red, leaving the white ruffles along the hem white, and color the dancer's skin in peach skin.
- 3Color the cobblestone pavement in sandy tan, then add the blue jeans of both drummers in royal blue.
- 4Color the drums with caramel brown bodies and cream drum heads, and add the orange guitar and the bright yellow dress on the left dancer.
- 5Add details last: the dancer's hair and hat in pale gold, the right drummer's hat in lemon yellow, and the flags and shirts left white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the skirt folds and the drummers' shadows with a slightly deeper shade of the same color.
