Plump Hatchimals Creature with Leafy Fin
Coloring guide
A chubby, round-bodied Hatchimal-style creature fills the entire page, turned a little to the side with a sweet small smile. The big glossy eyes have bright highlight dots, and the nearer eye gets a few tiny lashes and a curved eyebrow. A small leafy fin sticks up from the top of the head. On the left, a pointed horn-like ear peeks out, and on the right sits a feathery wing-shaped fin with a curled piece underneath. The body narrows into a little tail at the bottom. No background, so the character is all that's there. Large open areas make it easy for small hands to color. A soft turquoise body with pink or purple fins and a sparkly yellow tuft on top would work nicely. Grab this free printable for a classroom project or weekend craft. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- sky blue
- golden yellow
- coral pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big round body in sky blue, leaving the eye whites, eye shines, and the background white.
- 2Fill the leafy top fin, the top back spike, the left back fin, and the small bottom fin in golden yellow.
- 3Color the large side fin and the inner ear fin in golden yellow, keeping the little gap between them clean.
- 4Add a soft coral pink to the inside of the smile, leaving a small white edge along the lips.
- 5Keep the big eye whites and the shine spots white, then fill the dark pupils and eyebrow in black or deep navy if you like.
- 6Optional: Add a few light diagonal strokes of a darker blue on the body to give it a textured, pencil-like feel.
