Grumpy Popeye Carrying Swee'Pea and an Ice Cream Cone
Coloring guide
A grumpy-looking sailor with a squinting face, a big round chin, and a corncob pipe stuck in the side of his head stands in mid-stride, carrying a small baby in the crook of one arm. The baby wears a little sailor-style cap and a ruffled collar, and smiles while holding up an ice cream cone with a bumpy scoop on top. The sailor's other arm is pulled back, with a huge round forearm and a stitched patch on it, a thick wrist, and a big fist. He wears a cap, a buttoned shirt with a striped collar, a belt, baggy pants, and large flat shoes. The lines are bold and the shapes are big, so it works well for younger kids with chunky crayons. Try coloring the ice cream in a flavor your child picks, then ask them to guess what the baby likes best about it. It also makes a nice printable for talking about helping and caring for little ones.
