Wimpy from Popeye Strolling Proudly, Chin Held High

Wimpy from the Popeye cartoons walks along with his chin raised and his eyes closed, looking very pleased with himself. He wears a small round hat with a dark band, a big rounded nose, a little mustache, and a wide necktie that flops down over his jacket. His round belly pushes out over a belt, and you can see the belly button as a small circle. The baggy pants and oversized shoes sit on a simple ground line. His hands are tucked behind his back, so only the big rounded shapes of his sleeves show on each side. The large open areas on the jacket and pants are easy for small hands to fill in. Try a brown or gray jacket with a bright tie, then use a different shade for the pants so the belt stands out. This free printable also works well for talking about shapes, since so much of him is made of circles.
