Puddle Splash Party with Three Ducks

Three fluffy ducklings are having a blast in a shallow puddle, and the drops flying around them say it all. The one at the top stands with a wing raised and its beak open in a big grin. The duckling on the left has wide eyes and an open beak too. At the bottom right, the third leans forward and dips its beak into the water, creating small ripples. Grass tufts sit in the corners, and a few small stones rest on the ground in front. Large shapes and bold lines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids. Soft yellow feathers and orange beaks look good with light blue on the ripples and splashes. The free PDF prints at home with no sign-up. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the ducks' bodies, heads, wings and the two smaller ducklings in golden yellow, leaving the small eye shines and the wing highlight white.
- 2Fill the beaks and webbed feet with bright orange, including the feet of all three ducks.
- 3Color the open mouths of the big duck and the left duckling in rose red for a happy, splashy look.
- 4Fill the puddle mud spots, the mud splashes under the ducks and the small puddles with dark brown, then add the water droplets in caramel brown.
- 5Color the two rocks at the bottom in slate gray and add a burnt orange droplet near the top corners; leave the grass and background white.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of the same golden yellow along the ducks' bellies for a softer, more fluffy feel.
