Raccoon Picnic at the Camping Site with Basket and Apple
Coloring guide
This cheerful raccoon stands on two feet with a woven picnic basket in one paw and a juicy apple in the other, along with a small mug in that same hand. The ringed tail curls up behind, and the face has the classic mask markings, big sparkly eyes and a happy open smile. Behind it you'll find a wooden picnic table, a pointed camping tent, a large leafy tree with a thick trunk and little tufts of grass across the ground. Bold, clear outlines make it a nice free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids, especially those ready for small details like the basket weave and tail stripes. A red apple, a sunny orange tent and soft gray and dark brown tail rings will make the raccoon stand out against green grass. Love this Camping coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big green areas: color the tree leaves at the top left, the bush on the right and the grass patches with leaf green.
- 2Fill the raccoon's head, body, hand and the light stripes on its tail with silver gray, then use charcoal gray for the dark tail bands and the dark part of the ears.
- 3Color the tent's front and back panels with golden yellow and the side panels with bright blue.
- 4Use warm brown for the picnic table top, legs and bench, then fill the picnic basket with soft tan and its weave lines.
- 5Color the apple and the mug cherry red and the inside of the ears and tongue coral pink. Leave the muzzle, belly, tree trunk and the basket handle highlight white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading under the raccoon and along the tail to make it look rounder.
