Rainy Day Chicken Chick with an Umbrella

Standing in a shallow puddle, this fluffy little chick holds a big open umbrella with one wing while raindrops come down everywhere. It has a tiny tuft of feathers on top, big sparkly eyes, a small open beak and a happy smile. The other wing is raised a little, and its webbed feet are planted in the water with small splashes flying up on either side. Two puffy clouds sit at the top, with lots of teardrop raindrops filling the space between them. The umbrella is made of simple panels with small round tips, which keeps it easy for small hands. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the chick's head, body, wings and the top knob of the umbrella golden yellow, leaving the eye whites and the shine spots white.
- 2Fill the far left, far right and lower-left umbrella panels with coral red, the top-right panel with leaf green, and the middle umbrella panels with orange.
- 3Color the chick's beak and both feet orange, then add pale yellow to the tail feathers.
- 4Fill the puddle, the umbrella handle and its hook, all the raindrops and the water splashes with sky blue.
- 5Color the left cloud pale blue and leave the right cloud white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the lower edges of the umbrella panels and the puddle to make them pop.
