Adventurer Zebra with a Map and Spyglass
Coloring guide
Wearing a pith safari hat and a big smile, this cartoon zebra strides across the savanna with a folded treasure-style map in one hand and a spyglass in the other. A backpack with a side pocket and a rolled sleeping bag ride on its back, and the tufted tail swings behind. There's plenty going on around it: a wide acacia tree on the left, a mother elephant and her baby in the distance, a safari jeep on a winding path, a mountain, a big round sun and a few birds in the sky. Tall grass, flowers and rocks fill the foreground. Khaki and olive tones suit the hat and backpack, and a bright orange sun adds contrast. A free printable for kids who enjoy adventure scenes packed with small details. This page is part of our Zebra coloring pages collection — check out Chicken and Shark too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky and distant scenery: color the sky blue, the mountain periwinkle blue, and the far-off ground slate teal, leaving the clouds white.
- 2Fill the large ground areas with sandy orange for the dirt path, and color the acacia tree canopy and the bushes and grass in lime green, spring green and leaf green.
- 3Color the zebra's hat in pale gold with a chestnut brown band, and fill the map with cream yellow, leaving the zebra's face, body, arms and legs white.
- 4Color the backpack and its pocket olive green, the spyglass charcoal gray, the zebra's hooves charcoal gray, and the elephant and rocks in light tones like warm gray.
- 5Add the small details last: the coral pink inner ears, the mustard yellow grass tufts, and the flower bushes in forest green.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading with a darker shade of the same color on the backpack, rocks and grass to make them pop.
