Sailboat Dot-to-Dot Activity Sheets with a Happy Sun

Coloring guide
There's a little sailboat hiding in these numbered dots, just waiting to be drawn. Kids count from 1 to 20 to make the tall mast and two triangular sails, then start over at 1 along the bottom to finish the curved hull and the deck line. The rest of the scene is already there: a happy sun with a smiling face and oval rays in the top left, three puffy outlined clouds and wavy water lines along the bottom. It gives early learners good number practice and pencil control, at home or in the classroom. After connecting the dots, you could color the sun bright yellow, the sails red and white, and the waves in two shades of blue. Print it for a classroom project or a weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the sun's face and all eight of its rays with golden yellow, leaving the eye whites bright white.
- 2Color both clouds with sky blue, keeping their outlines crisp.
- 3Color the long thin mast down the middle of the boat in warm brown.
- 4Fill the small round ball at the top of the mast with cherry red.
- 5Leave the boat hull and the sailboat's background white, as in the example.
- 6Optional: Add a few light diagonal strokes in a slightly darker shade on the clouds and sun for a hand-drawn look.
