Seven Ducklings Walking in a Line by the Stream

A row of seven little ducklings waddles across a grassy meadow, each one following the one in front. They have round heads, small tufts of feathers, big eyes, open beaks and tiny wings, and the leader at the front left looks happy to be in charge. Behind them a large tree stands at the left, with two puffy clouds above and a line of bushes along a low hill. A winding stream curves through the bottom right, with cattails growing beside it. Small oval spots mark the path, and grass tufts and two flowers fill the foreground. This page works well for counting practice. Have kids number the ducklings one to seven, then color each one a different shade so they can describe who is first, third or last in line.
