Shy Baby Octopus Peeking Out From Two Rocks

Coloring guide
This sweet underwater scene shows a little octopus with big round eyes peeking from behind two large rocks. Small spots cover its rounded head. One tentacle curls over the left rock, another wraps around the front of the right rock, and a third reaches up behind the right one, with a row of suckers on each. Tall wavy seaweed leaves stand on both sides, and a few pebbles and small oval stones rest on the sandy bottom. Because the shapes are large and the lines are clean, crayons and chunky markers work well for younger kids. Soft purple with pink suckers suits the octopus, with gray rocks and bright green seaweed around it. Print it free for a classroom project or a weekend craft. Love this Octopus coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the octopus body and all its tentacles in coral pink, leaving the small round suckers on the tentacles white.
- 2Color the tall seaweed strands on both sides in leaf green, with the lighter strands kept as thin green lines.
- 3Fill the two rocks at the top and the two pebbles at the bottom in slate gray, leaving the background white.
- 4Add the golden yellow spots on the top of the octopus head, leaving the eye whites and the small white spots on the head unpainted.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker coral pink along the edges of the tentacles and the lower part of the head to give a bit of depth.
