Shy Ghost and Curious Kitten at a Haunted House Graveyard

Big round eyes and tiny hands gripping the edge: that's how a little ghost looks over the top of a large blank tombstone. A curious kitten gazes up at it, tail curled high. Past a picket fence, a tall house with pointed turrets, scalloped roof shingles and arched windows looms in the background. A crescent moon hangs overhead, a bare tree stands on the left, and grass tufts and small rocks dot the graveyard ground. The tombstone is empty on purpose, so kids can write their own name, a spooky message or a doodle. Pale blue or lavender works for the ghost, orange for the kitten, and a deep purple house gives a moonlit glow. It's a free printable PDF, and there's room to keep a few spare copies around. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big tombstone, its rim and the stone slab at the bottom in light gray, leaving the ghost's eyes and hands white.
- 2Fill the haunted house walls and tower in lavender purple, then color the roofs and roof trims in dark slate blue.
- 3Color the bushes, grass tufts and the grassy ground in grass green, and paint the fence posts in caramel tan.
- 4Color the tree trunk and the front door with its steps in warm brown, then fill the moon and all the house windows in golden yellow.
- 5Color the black cat in charcoal gray, add soft pink to the inner ears, and leave the cat's eye shines white.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of darker gray on the tombstone and cat for a little shading, keeping the ghost bright white.
