Singing Mermaid With Pearl-Tied Hair Puffs

A cheerful mermaid with big, puffy curly hair floats in the middle of the page with her eyes closed and her mouth open as if she is singing. Her hair is pulled into two round puffs on either side of her head, and each puff is wrapped with a string of pearls. Her arms stretch out to the sides, and she wears a simple top with a scooped neckline. A folded band sits at her waist where the tail begins. The curved tail is covered in rounded scales of different sizes and ends in a small fin at the bottom. The outlines are bold and the shapes are large, so it works well for younger kids. Try coloring the scales in a gradual blend, such as teal into purple, and use a different color for each pearl on the hair ties. It is a free page that also makes a nice pattern practice activity.
