In a cozy cave, a sleepy little bat hangs upside down with its eyes peacefully closed, wrapped in a blanket covered in stars. A smiling teddy bear is tucked under the blanket with its little paws on the edge. The bat's wings wrap around two knotted straps that hold it up like a hammock, and its big ears and fluffy chest fur are drawn in lots of detail. On the right, a smiling crescent moon hangs from a string with little sun-like rays around it. Rocky cave walls and small stones frame the whole scene. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the bat's wings and ropes: color the large wing membranes and hanging ropes deep purple, leaving the background white.
- 2Fill the bat's face, arms and the blanket's folded edges with lavender, keeping the bat's arms and face a soft, even tone.
- 3Color the star blanket in sky blue, then add indigo blue along the shadowed folds on the left and right sides.
- 4Paint the inside of the bat's ears soft pink and the teddy bear in caramel tan, adding its ears and paws.
- 5Color the cave walls and stalagmite chocolate brown, the rocks light gray, and the crescent moon golden yellow.
- 6Finish with the blanket stars in golden yellow, leaving small white shine spots in the stars. Optional: Add a little extra deep purple along the wing edges for depth.
