Sleepy-Smiled Starfish With Scallop Shells and Spiral Shell

Coloring guide
A cheerful five-armed starfish fills the middle of the page, tilted slightly to one side. It has two small oval eyes and a curved, sleepy smile. Round bubble-like dots of different sizes are scattered along its arms, and each arm tip has a small leaf-shaped mark. Around it you will find two fan-shaped scallop shells with ridged lines, one above the starfish and one below, plus a tall spiral shell with a pointed top in the bottom right corner. The outlines are bold and the shapes are big, so they work well for younger kids with chunky crayons. Try coloring the dots on each arm in a different shade to practice counting and pattern spotting, then talk about how starfish have arms instead of legs. This printable page is also a nice quiet activity for a beach or ocean unit.
