Smiling Baby Bat Soaring Past a Big Moon

Coloring guide
A baby bat with huge sparkly eyes, a tiny heart-shaped nose and a fluffy tuft of fur on its chest flies across the page, smiling, with both wings spread wide. A large round moon sits behind it, and four five-pointed stars are scattered in the corners of the sky. The big pointed ears have inner details, and little feet dangle under the round belly. Each wide wing is split into sections, so small hands can color one piece at a time. Pale yellow for the moon and bright yellow for the stars would look nice against soft purple or warm gray wings. Print it free, and maybe make a few extra copies. Love this Bat coloring page? You might also enjoy our Wolves and Lion coloring pages.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- soft yellow
- deep purple
- lavender
- soft pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big moon behind the bat and fill it with soft yellow, leaving the stars for later.
- 2Color the stars in soft yellow too, so the moon and stars match.
- 3Fill the bat's face, round belly and cheek fur with lavender, keeping the two big eye whites bright white.
- 4Color both wings and the wing tips in deep purple, leaving a little white along the edges if you like.
- 5Add soft pink inside the ears to finish the bat's features.
- 6Optional: Add a few darker strokes on the wings and belly for a bit of shading, then leave the eye shines white.
