Bear Cub Leaning on a Beach Ball

Coloring guide
Both front paws are planted on top of a large striped beach ball as this happy bear cub, with big sparkly eyes and an open smile, steps one foot out to the side. Three little smiling butterflies flutter near the top, and grass tufts and four simple flowers fill the meadow along the bottom and sides. Fluffy fur, round ears and a cheery face give plenty of fun spots to color, and the thick outlines keep small hands inside the lines. Honey brown works for the cub, with red, yellow and blue panels on the ball. Pink, purple and orange butterfly wings will stand out against green grass. A free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids. This fits right in with our Bear coloring pages — see also Shark and Giraffe.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the bear's body and head in warm brown, leaving the eye whites, the ball's center cap and the little gaps in the flowers white.
- 2Color the beach ball in sections: tomato red at the bottom, ocean blue on the right, sunny yellow on the left, and leaf green and teal at the top edges.
- 3Fill the inner ears and the open mouth with soft pink and hot pink, then add the tongue details.
- 4Paint the butterflies with light blue on the left, hot pink on the right and lavender purple on the small one in the middle.
- 5Color the flowers with tomato red and lavender purple petals, and add leaf green to the grass tufts and stems.
- 6Optional: Add a few darker strokes of warm brown along the bear's edges for a fuzzy, soft look.
