Sledding Bear Cub Racing Down a Snowy Hill

Coloring guide
Wearing a pom-pom beanie and a long striped scarf, a happy bear cub zooms downhill on a wooden sled, gripping the rope with both paws. The scarf fringe streams out behind him, and the paw pads on his feet are neatly drawn. Small splashes of snow spray beside the runners to show speed, and snow-covered pines stand on rolling hills in the back. Chunky sled planks and wide areas of fur are easy for little hands, and the striped hat and scarf give older kids room for patterns. Warm brown for the bear and red and white for the hat and scarf will stand out against icy blue snow and deep green trees. Free PDF for a cozy winter afternoon. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the bear's body, head, and paws in caramel brown, leaving the belly area and the paw pads for later.
- 2Color the cream-colored belly, the paw pads, and the inner ears with cream, and fill the bear's tummy and chest with light tan for a soft look.
- 3Fill the wooden sled board and its supports with caramel brown, then color the curved runners in steel blue and the sled rope in dark brown.
- 4Color the hat, scarf, and cap stripes in bright red, add golden yellow to the hat pompom and the scarf ends, and use forest green for the trees.
- 5Fill the snowy hill background with pale ice blue, and color the snowy tree tops and the bear's eye shines as white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker brown shading under the bear and on the sled edges to make the picture pop.
