A curving blood vessel runs from the top of the page to the bottom, packed with cheerful cells that all have happy faces. Large oval red blood cells with big eyes and smiles sit among spiky, rounded cells with bumpy edges, and dozens of tiny star-shaped cells and small dots drift around them. The vessel wall is a row of long overlapping cells down both sides. Outside, wavy lines and lots of round bubbles in different sizes fill the white space. It suits a science lesson on what blood is made of, or any kid who likes detailed pages with plenty of small spaces. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big round cells with bright red, leaving the little shine spots on them white.
- 2Color the wavy blood flow in the middle of the vessel with dark red, leaving the outside background white.
- 3Color the tube-shaped cells along the vessel walls and the small cells on the sides with coral red.
- 4Fill the spiky cells with sky blue, and leave the little star-shaped cells white.
- 5Add golden yellow to the floating bubbles on both sides, and use pale yellow for one bubble on the right edge.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of darker red on the big round cells for depth.
