A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the skin on the boy's face, ears, neck and hands using peach, and leave the small eye shines white.
- 2Color the boy's hair with chocolate brown, then fill the red cloth he is holding with bright red.
- 3Fill the shorts and the shield's blue panels with royal blue, keeping the shield's golden yellow cross lines for later.
- 4Color the armor, helmet, castle walls and tower with light gray and medium gray, leaving the wall gap white.
- 5Add the tan brown barrel and stool, the leaf green bushes and grass, and the chocolate brown barrel bands.
- 6Finish with golden yellow on the collar, belt, knee straps, shoe straps and shield cross, then add charcoal gray rivets and the tower roof in bright red. Optional: add a little darker gray shading under the helmet and armor for depth.
