This basket is also a bunny. Its smiling face sits at the front, and the two tall ears stand up like handles. Three decorated eggs poke out of the top: one has circles and dots, one has horizontal stripes, and one has wavy zigzag lines. A woven band runs around the basket, and a big bow with a square knot and two ribbon tails sits at the front just above the face. The bunny has round shiny eyes, a small triangle nose, a curved smile and three whiskers on each side. Bold lines and roomy shapes mean younger kids can handle the ears and bow with crayons, while older kids can spend their time on the egg designs. Pastel pink inside the ears looks sweet, a bright purple bow pops nicely, and giving every egg its own color helps the patterns show. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Leave the bunny face, the outer ear outlines, and the little eye shines white so the drawing stays bright.
- 2Color the inside of both ears baby pink, then fill the bow, its knot, and both tails with bubblegum pink.
- 3Fill the basket bands on both sides with caramel brown, working from the top band down to the bottom one.
- 4Color the left egg lavender purple and add pale yellow dots, then fill the middle egg with sky blue stripes and the top of the right egg with grass green.
- 5Finish the eggs: add soft teal stripes on the middle egg, a golden yellow band and bubblegum pink waves on the right egg, and a few pale yellow dots on the middle egg.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading along the edges of the eggs and basket to make them look rounded.
