Peekaboo Bunny Popping Out of a Burrow
Coloring guide
Peeking out of a round burrow opening, this happy bunny rests both chubby paws on the edge while its long ears stand tall. It has big sparkly eyes, a tiny heart-shaped nose, whiskers and a wide smile, and a little tuft of fluffy fur frames each cheek. Grass tufts surround the burrow, with two flowers that have rounded petals on the lower left and right and a smaller third flower near the bottom right. Large shapes and bold outlines make this free printable a good pick for preschoolers and early elementary kids who are still building pencil control. For a fun twist, go with soft lavender or light gray on the bunny, pink inside the ears, and bright yellow and orange flowers that pop against green grass and a brown burrow. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with warm tan for the big bunny head, both paws, and the outer part of the tall ears.
- 2Fill the inside of the ears, the nose, and the tiny tongue with soft pink, leaving the eye whites untouched.
- 3Color the sides of the burrow around the bunny with medium brown, then fill the darker inner curve with dark brown.
- 4Use lime green for the grass tuft behind the ears and the grass blades at the bottom, and grass green for the two leaves on the left and right stems.
- 5Paint the left flower petals lavender purple, the right flower and the small blue flower with coral pink and sky blue, and add golden yellow centers to each flower.
- 6Optional: Add a few light strokes of darker tan on the bunny's cheeks and a little extra brown along the burrow edge for depth.
