Round-Faced Butterfly Fluttering Above a Flower Patch

A cheerful butterfly with a round smiling face, big eyes, and two antennae tipped with little balls flutters above a patch of flowers. Its body is made of four rounded segments, and it has one large wing with a thick outline and a smaller wing shape tucked in underneath. Three small butterflies sit in the upper left corner. Below, three flowers with five rounded petals and large circle centers sit on long stems, with tall blades of grass along the bottom edge. The big open shapes are easy for small hands to color. Try a different pattern in each wing, like stripes, dots, or zigzags, and let kids pick a new color for each flower center. A printable page like this also works well for talking about how butterflies visit flowers in spring.
