Cheerful Carrot Vegetable Standing in Grass Tufts

Right in the middle of the page stands a happy carrot with big round eyes and a wide open smile. Three curly, scalloped leaves sprout from its top. Curved lines across the body mark the ridges, and a couple of grass tufts sit on either side of the bottom along a plain ground line. Outlines are bold and clean with lots of open room, which is handy for preschoolers and early elementary kids still getting the hang of crayons and markers. Teachers might like it for a veggie unit or a healthy-eating activity. Orange works for the body, and a darker orange pencil along the ridges adds some texture. Pick two greens for the leaves and grass. It's a free printable that prints easily on letter or A4 paper.
