Waving Carrot Vegetable Coloring Page with Soil Mounds

Coloring guide
This happy carrot stands tall with a big open smile and sparkly round eyes, and both of its little arms are up in the air like it's saying hello. Three leafy green tops with scalloped edges and thin veins grow out of its head. A few curved lines across the body show the carrot's natural ridges. At the bottom, two small mounds of soil with tiny dashes make it look like the carrot just popped out of the garden. Outlines are bold and simple, so it's a nice free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids still working on pencil and crayon control. Bright orange for the body, grass green for the leaves and warm brown for the dirt would look great. It could also go along with a lesson on healthy eating or growing vegetables. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the carrot body and both raised arms warm orange, leaving the eye whites and the teeth white.
- 2Fill the three big leafy tops and the two inner leaf shapes with leafy green.
- 3Color the tongue inside the smile coral pink.
- 4Leave the eye whites, the teeth and the soil mounds at the bottom white, since they stay bright in the example.
- 5Optional: add a few slightly darker orange strokes along one side of the carrot for a bit of shading.
