Smiling Cartoon Steam Engine Front View

A cheerful little steam engine faces forward with a big round face on the front of its boiler. It has arched eyebrows, eyes with lashes, a round nose and a wide open smile. A tall chimney with a rounded rim sits on top, and behind it is a cab with a curved roof and two dark windows. Below the face you can see a flat buffer beam with two large black round buffers, a coupling in the middle, a few small lamp irons and handles, and the front wheels resting on the track. The lines are bold and the shapes are big, so it works well for younger children. Try coloring the boiler and cab in two bright colors, then leave the windows and buffers dark. Kids can also name each part as they color it, from chimney to wheels. It is free to print for a quiet activity at home or in class.
